Inclusion at Anthem
At Anthem, our commitment to inclusion is grounded in the belief that every student matters, regardless of their starting point, needs, or circumstances.
Inclusion is not simply about removing barriers; it’s about ensuring that every child experiences both nurturing support and the challenge necessary to reach their full potential. This is underpinned by our high expectations and clear drive for excellence, which are evident in every lesson, every day.
OUR INCLUSION VISION
We talk relentlessly about every student, every lesson, all the time. First and foremost, we ensure the provision every student experiences, on a daily basis, is of the highest quality:
Every student... regardless of need, circumstance or starting point, has an entitlement to equitable access to learning, achievement and the pursuit of excellence.
Every lesson… is adapted and engaging, enabling every student to be challenged and to fulfil their potential.
All the time… in class, in school and in wider school events, students will feel safe, loved and have a sense of belonging.
Anthem's Relational Approach
Central to our strategy is an emphasis on relational practice. Relationships are at the heart of learning. Students need to feel safe, understood, and valued to truly thrive academically. This means focusing on the individual and creating positive, inclusive cultures within our school environments based on empathy and mutual respect.
Our relational approach balances high expectations with high support. Our goal is to create schools that challenge every student to achieve their best while ensuring they feel fully supported throughout the process.
Our ongoing focus on relational practice and student wellbeing will continue to drive our work, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed and feel valued.
